Superformance GT40/R Mk-I  -  #P2192

Time to own a legendary piece of vehicular art.

A quality re-creation of the original that beat Ferrari and finished in the top three positions in the grueling Le Mans 24 Hours in 1966. In developing the exhilarating GT40 continuation, Superformance engineers went to great lengths to ensure authenticity. So authentic, that they're allowed to legally use the name “GT40”. Thus, the Superformance GT40 carries the GT40/P chassis number and is eligible for the official Shelby American Automobile Club and Safir GT40 registries.

The GT40 continuation is built to exacting standards - in fact, over two thirds of the rolling chassis's parts are interchangeable with that of an original GT40 car, including the 'monocoque" style chassis.

The Superformance GT40 also boasts of a pressed steel roof and beautifully finished body.

This particular model, the Superformance GT40/R Competition, was meticulously built by Pathfinder Motorsports LLC.

A proud and exclusive distributor of the world's most famous and coveted racecar of all time - the GT40/R Competition - Pathfinder Motorsports stresses the fact that this vehicle is not a replica or kit car, but rather an authentic continuation model of the famed GT40.

The GT40/R Competition is bolt-for-bolt virtually identical to the GT40s built in the 1960’s – so identical, in fact, that it has been accepted for vintage and historic racing by SVRA and HSR.

With the original cars selling for over $2 million, the GT40/R provides an identical racing experience for a fraction of the price.
